After 200 years of being ruled by the British India got its freedom on 15th August 1947.After that India became an independent, social, democratic country. Independence Day on 15th August is a gazette holiday in India and it is celebrated in every year. It is the day when all the official buildings are decorated with flags and light. In different state celebrate this day by flying tri colour kites. It’s a day that every Indian remembers. So many men gave their life to get freedom from British.
